Sustainable Water...Towards a Secure Water Future

Introduction

On the occasion of Arab Water Day, celebrated annually on March 3, and World Water Day, celebrated annually on March 22, the Department of Environmental Affairs and Meteorology at the League of Arab States and the Department of Water, Housing and Disaster Reduction at the League of Arab States, in cooperation with the Arab Union for Sustainable Development and Environment (a member of the Executive Office of the Forum of Arab Specific Unions at the League of Arab States and a member of the member organizations of the World Islamic Council for Call and Relief), are holding a scientific forum and Arab celebration.

The forum entitled

"Sustainable Water... Towards a Secure Water Future"

To promote integration between scientific and practical efforts in the field of water resources management to achieve sustainable development.

Objectives

1. To highlight the importance of sustainable water resource management in light of climate change.

2. To discuss the impacts of climate change on water resources.

3. Enhancing cooperation between research institutions and the public and private sectors to achieve effective water management.

4. Reviewing innovative strategies for adapting to water security challenges.

5. Supporting regional and international efforts to enhance their role in addressing water resource challenges.
